Frequently Asked Questions
What should my child eat after a frenectomy?
Stick to soft foods like yogurt, applesauce, and mashed potatoes for the first 24-48 hours. Avoid spicy, crunchy, or acidic foods.
How often should my child do tongue exercises?
Exercises should be done 3-5 times per day for at least two weeks to ensure proper healing and mobility.
Will my child be in pain after the procedure?
Some mild discomfort is normal. Over-the-counter pain relief and cold compresses can help ease any soreness.
How do I prevent reattachment?
Perform post-frenectomy exercises as recommended to keep the tongue moving freely and prevent the tissue from healing too tightly.
